The standard
Built against ASTM E1527-21.
ASTM E1527-21 is the recognized standard for the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment process. It defines what a QEP must do to satisfy the EPA's All Appropriate Inquiries rule — historical use review, regulatory database review, site reconnaissance, and the opinion of recognized environmental conditions. Most lenders, buyers, and counsel specify the standard verbatim in their engagement letters.
PlotDrift's draft and audit trail are mapped to its sections. Every source pulled from the federal, state, tribal, or local record is logged against the section it supports. The QEP reviews that draft, edits it where site context warrants, and writes the Section 9 conclusion. We do not invent facts, we do not write the opinion, and we do not sign for the QEP.
